A successful Girls Leadership Development Initiative
We have finally wrapped up with the first part of our Girls Leadership Development Initiative - the week-long training with young women 16 to 24 on Human Rights, Gender Based Violence, the use of ICT in addressing Gender Based Violence and Entrepreneurship for economic empowerment of young women.
\r\nThe moments were as enriching and exciting as the tears their departure generated! We remain confident that the entrepreneurship skills and hands-on knowledge they have acquired through this program will accompany them through this journey to end Gender Based Violence.
\r\nWe are also confident that the network they\'ve built amongst themselves will continue to remain that support system to engage all stakeholders in putting an end to all forms of gender-based violence.
\r\nWe will be moving on to the next part - the interactive community radio programs to raise awareness on gender-based violence and engage communities in responding to and preventing Gender-Based Violence - hence the program titled #Engage!
